| The second time I went to Iceland I finally managed to visit the Blue Lagoon, the famous spa that utilizes runoff water from a geothermal power plant (all electricity in Iceland is geothermal) for soothing, therapuetic baths. They claim the warm, mineral-chocked water is good for skin ailments, especially psoriasis. Since then the spa has been moved a few miles away to a less industrial locale, and those wily Icelanders have built a snazzy restaurant and locker facility. Fat people with bad skin still come, though. |
